At around 10pm Nemo started to go in to labour wanting to nest and asking Jupiter to be her birthing partner. I think after helping with 4 litters he had decided enough was enough and Nemo spent the night curled up with me and Jupiter on the bed. In the morning she very kindly waited until we were all up and dressed before having her first kitten, and within 2hrs and 45mins all the kittens were born. Just like last time she spent the entire morning and ever since the birth, purring at her little babies, which she delivered all by herself with no help – well other than John holding her paw this time.

There are 4 girls in the litter a Blue Solid coat girl  (Luna) who is is loving being in my arms and climbs up my leg at any opportunity, The Brown TCR Tabby girl (Rhea) is little more reserved (as reserved as Tonks ever are!) but puts up a good fight against her sisters! The other 2 girls I am assessing for a new breeding queen and show girl to retain in my cattery. The Lilac girl (Neaera) is very sturdy with a slightly straighter profile and a ticker tail at the base, where as the Brown tabby girl (Lyra) is much more fine and extremely pretty and feminine in her features – it will be a tough call to choose.

Kittens from this mating will be 3rd Generation Tonkinese (CSSR register) and currently now eligible to be shown with the GCCF after a recent (15th June) alteration to the Tonkinese registration policy.  They are also eligible to be shown with TICA.

I will be retaining a girl from this litter, and because of this, any I will not be able to confirm which females are available until they are quite old. I will only be retaining one of the 4, so 3 will require loving forever homes.
